Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Door Supervisor to join our events team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security at our venue, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. As a Door Supervisor, you will be responsible for monitoring entry points, managing crowd control, and implementing loss prevention strategies.
Duties
* Monitor the entrance and exit points of the venue to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
* Conduct thorough checks of bags and personal items as required.
* Implement effective crowd control measures during peak times or events.
* Provide assistance in emergency situations, including administering first aid when necessary.
* Maintain clear communication with team members to ensure a cohesive approach to security.
* Prepare incident reports detailing any occurrences or breaches of security.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a security role is preferred, particularly in a supervisory capacity, minimum of 3 years experience
* Certification in first aid is highly desirable, as well as ACT and WAVE certification.
* Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence is required for this position.
* 5 years of checkable work history
