Purpost of Role: The Hygiene Department Trainer is responsible for developing, implementing, and delivering hygiene-related training programs across the facility. This role involves creating and maintaining effective SOPs, overseeing and creating CIC, and ensuring all staff are trained to meet the company's hygiene standards. The trainer will spend a significant portion of their time on the shop floor, providing hands-on training and ensuring compliance with hygiene protocols. Following MOWI academy and providing monthly KPIs to Hygiene department Management and Training department management. Key Result Areas: Develop and Deliver Training Programmes Strategic Training Design Develop and implement comprehensive hygiene training programmes aligned with organisational goals, regulatory standards, and industry best practices. These programmes encompass new hire onboarding, periodic refresher courses, CIC and CIP design and specialised training modules tailored to emerging operational needs. Hands-On Practical Training Deliver engaging, practical training sessions directly on the shop floor, focusing on critical hygiene practices, safety protocols, and the effective use of equipment. These sessions ensure that theoretical knowledge translates into measurable, real-world compliance. Customised Learning Interventions Utilise performance assessments and operational insights to design bespoke training interventions for specific teams or individuals, addressing gaps proactively and fostering a culture of continuous learning. Stakeholder Collaboration Engage department leaders and functional managers to align training objectives with broader business strategies, ensuring maximum relevance and impact across operational areas. 2. (CIC) Processes and Procedures Governance and Oversight Lead the implementation and continuous refinement (CIC) processes, ensuring adherence to stringent health, safety, and regulatory frameworks. This includes proactive identification and mitigation of compliance risks. Documentation Excellence Develop, review, and maintain CIC documentation to ensure that all procedures are clear, comprehensive, and easily accessible for audits or operational reviews. Capability Building Conduct targeted training for staff on the operation, cleaning, and maintenance of CIC systems, ensuring that all personnel can execute their responsibilities with precision and consistency. Cross-Functional Monitoring Collaborate with quality assurance, maintenance, and operations teams to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of CIC processes. Leverage insights to recommend and implement improvements that enhance overall operational reliability. Strategic Stakeholder Engagement Foster strong relationships with senior operational leaders to ensure CIC procedures align with evolving business demands and contribute to long-term organisational resilience. 3. Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Development Comprehensive SOP Management Lead the creation, periodic review, and continual enhancement of hygiene-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Ensure that all SOPs reflect current operational needs, regulatory requirements, and industry-leading practices. Cross-Departmental Integration Partner with key stakeholders across departments to ensure SOPs are seamlessly integrated into broader operational workflows, reducing inefficiencies and ensuring cohesive execution. Change Management Implement structured communication and training plans to ensure updates to SOPs, CIC and CIP are effectively disseminated and adopted across all levels of the organisation. Leadership Consultation Provide strategic input to senior leadership on SOP development, emphasising how these procedures underpin organisational compliance and operational excellence. 4. On-Site and Shop Floor Presence Leadership on the Ground Maintain a consistent and visible presence on the shop floor to provide real-time leadership, ensuring that hygiene protocols are rigorously followed during daily operations. Continuous Process Optimisation Identify operational inefficiencies or non-compliance during shifts and implement immediate corrective actions to minimise risk and uphold high standards. Proactive Staff Engagement: Build trust and rapport with frontline staff, creating an open communication channel that encourages reporting of challenges and fosters a sense of accountability. Real-Time Impact Measurement: Monitor the implementation of hygiene initiatives in real time, providing actionable feedback to both employees and management to reinforce standards. 5. Documentation and Reporting Accurate Record Keeping Maintain meticulous records of all training sessions, including attendance, individual performance metrics, and compliance tracking. This ensures readiness for internal and external audits while providing a foundation for continuous improvement. Strategic Reporting Deliver insightful, data-driven reports to senior leadership, highlighting key trends, training effectiveness, compliance metrics, and areas requiring attention. Use these insights to drive informed decision-making at the strategic level. Audit Preparedness Act as the primary point of contact for hygiene training documentation during audits, ensuring that all materials are accessible, accurate, and aligned with regulatory requirements. Collaborative Action Planning Work closely with senior management to review reporting outcomes and co-develop strategies to address identified gaps or risks effectively. 6. Continuous Improvement Culture of Excellence Champion a culture of continuous improvement by consistently evaluating and enhancing hygiene training programmes, CIC processes, and SOPs to meet evolving organisational needs and regulatory demands. Feedback Integration Proactively gather and analyse feedback from employees, managers, and external stakeholders to refine training content, processes, and operational standards. Innovation and Best Practices Stay abreast of industry advancements and incorporate innovative practices into hygiene protocols, ensuring the organisation remains ahead of compliance and quality benchmarks. Strategic Alignment Partner with leadership teams to ensure that hygiene initiatives align with broader business objectives, contributing to operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and brand reputation. Key Performance Indicators: Ability to manage a diverse set of priorities and meet deadlines to a consistently high standard Capacity to set up and maintain administrative processes and office systems Good analytical skills with the ability to identify key points from complex material or information Exceptional use of written and spoken English Qualification/Skills: Previous experience in a hygiene role within a manufacturing or food production environment. Strong knowledge of CIC systems and hygiene regulations. Proven ability to write and update detailed SOPs. Excellent communication and training skills, with experience delivering hands-on training. Ability to work effectively on the shop floor and lead by example. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in hygiene and sanitation (e.g., HACCP, GMP, etc Preferred Qualifications: Certification in hygiene management, food safety, or related areas. Previous experience as a trainer or in a leadership role within a hygiene department. Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.
