Future Support Acquisition (FSA) is a crucial component of DNA and is the Top Level Budget (TLB)Support Solution specialists responsible for three principal functions which shape and deliver the support acquisition portfolio: Future Support Strategic Planning; Future Support and Enablers Programme Delivery; and In-Service Support Programme Sponsorship and Performance. Delivering these responsibilities, Deputy Director Future Support Acquisition (DD-FSA) is the Navy Command Subject Matter Expert (SME) and policy lead for Support Solutions. The Programme Capability Support Officer role will work within Future Support Acquisition (FSA) as part of the Future Support and Enablers Programme Delivery team. Job Description: Working across Navy Command at Portsmouth, Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) & the Submarine Delivery Agency (SDA) at MoD Abbey Wood and MoD Head Office in London, the Naval Support Integrated Global Network (NSIGN) Programme Capability Support Officer operates as a part of the NSIGN programme team comprising capability and programme managers who are central to the maritime support enterprise framework that will deliver and sustain the RN's operational capability and outputs safely and with certainty. The NSIGN programme team works closely with Navy Command Delivery Agents, predominantly DE&S, SDA and external support partners, to deliver the support services for ships, submarines and enabling Facilities from Oct 26 onwards providing Navy Command with certainty of delivery for operational availability, value for money and improved enterprise resilience. The NSIGN Programme Capability Support Officer role will work in the NSIGN Design Authority (DA) team providing support to the Capability Managers. Their primary focus will be on infrastructure and asset management solution design activities for Naval Bases. Time will also be required to support Ships and Submarines Capability Managers with more general tasks including reviewing NSIGN business cases, assurance evidence, support solution design and procurement strategies to ensure they are coherent with the objectives, requirements, benefits, pan-project streams, and wider MoD programmes. KeyResponsibilities Maintain USER/Defence Lines of Development (DLOD) inputs into NSIGN User Requirements Document (URD). Co-ordinate the User/DLOD/SME input into the Solution Design. Lead on validation, verification and acceptance of NSIGN solution into service. Support the transition to new in-service arrangements, engaging/integrating Navy Commands DLODs and Users in the process. Support NSIGN programme through maintaining a benefits plan; providing Programme Manager - Capability (Ships) NSIGN an overview of the main milestones detailed to each benefit profile. Lead on the Command Acquisition Support Plan (CASP) between NC and DE&S and the Submarine Agreement Support Plan (SASP) with the SDA; including planning, forecasting and securing resources for NSIGN tasking.
