What’s it all about?
The Brand Manager has responsibility for leading the consumer brands to deliver strong performance, develop NPDs, build brand awareness and achieve commercial targets. This role is a pivotal role within the organization and is aimed at delivering brand growth and expansion as well as shorter-term initiatives to fuel commercial delivery.
What you will be doing:
* Full P&L responsibility for the brand
* Identify and develop new growth opportunities, build the brand awareness, distinctiveness and innovation pipeline..
* Take ownership for brand sales, profit and market share performance. Ensuring continued drive to hit targets and highlight risks and opportunities as they present themselves.
* Be the person to make it happen with customers, inspire the buyers in major retailers, and work with category marketing to make persuasive selling stories and trade rationale.
* Partner with International Distributors to build the brand.
* Ownership of the brand’s digital presence & online communications plan.
* To develop NPDs and be the project lead for key activities.
* Follow the trends in skincare, haircare and beauty and seize opportunities.
What we need from you:
This role is ideal for someone with a strong marketing background, the ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
* An intuitive, pro active marketing thinker, strong consumer and brand empathy.
* Strong ability to act and deliver in the short term as well as planning for the longer term.
* Thought-leadership as well as executional project leadership, with outstanding project management skills.
* Good time management and organisational skills to work to tight timescales and deadlines.
* Excellent communication skills, able to lead and influence across all functions and levels.
* Good commercial awareness with a view of how financial and operational decisions impact on the bigger picture.
* Previous experience working in FMCG brand management is essential, ideally within the personal care sector.
* High level of numeracy, comfortable looking at category data and brand financials.
* Travel in the UK and overseas is a part of the role.
