This is a rare opportunity to work with two well-established multidisciplinary mental health teams, in Tower Hamlets. The Home Treatment Team (HTT) provides assessment, treatment and care for residents in Tower Hamlets experiencing a mental health crisis as an alternative to admission, and the East London Criminal Justice Liaison and Diversion Team (CJLD) provides assessment and advice about treatment options for people experiencing mental disorder and being held at local Police cells and Magistrates Courts. The post-holder will work at the level of a Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry across the two teams. The post holder will have regular supervision from one of the HTT consultant psychiatrists and benefit from joining a collegiate and active group of specialty doctors in the borough. Main duties of the job The idea of the option for rotation is that the post holder will have an opportunity to develop a range of clinical experience in middle grade jobs, which may be helpful for the CESR application process and we would be supportive of any post-holder who either wishes to aim towards CESR or to get onto a specialist training programme.
