We have an opportunity for a Home Teacher to be employed on a permanent basis for 32.50 hours per week, during term time.
The successful candidate will work in conjunction with the Head of Service to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of quality education for pupils educated at home or in our base, because their medical needs prevent them from attending school. Experience in science and maths teaching is an advantage.
The Ideal Applicant Will
1. Understand the barriers impacting young people's learning and development.
2. Have experience or planning and delivering relevant curriculum across age and ability range.
3. Have proven success in teaching vulnerable learners to exam specifications.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Have experience of ACES and trauma-based approaches to learning.
6. Have a thorough understanding of Safeguarding.
7. Have experience supporting young learners with SEMH / Additional needs.
You will need a full driving licence to undertake this role.
