Lead technically challenging new civil engineering projects across Scotland
Senior role within a well-established, major civil engineering group
Our client is an established civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure projects across sectors including marine and coastal works, flood defence, highways, bridges, ports and harbours, and public realm. Due to continued growth in Scotland, they are looking to appoint a Project Manager to help establish and lead a regional delivery team.
Marine experience is advantageous but not essential.
You will be responsible for managing projects from planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while leading teams effectively in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the development and construction of civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
Control programme, cost, risk, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead and manage project teams and the supply chain to ensure successful delivery.
Ensure appropriate resources, materials, and plans are in place to avoid delays.
Report progress accurately to senior leadership.
Take responsibility for HSEQ compliance, promoting a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.
Ensure quality is managed and recorded in line with specifications and the Quality Management Plan.
What You Bring
Significant experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering.
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
Proven experience delivering complex infrastructure projects.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to interpret drawings, contracts, and specifications.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
Professional membership (or working towards) with ICE, CIOB, or similar.
NEBOSH qualification.
