Logistics Operative (PM Shift)
Role Overview:
Are you ready to be part of a fast-paced logistics team that keeps operations running smoothly? We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics Operative to join our team in Cheltenham. In this shift-based role, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of logistics tasks including goods receipt, stock handling, order picking, packing, and dispatching, all while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Hours:
Monday to Thursday 14:00 - 23:30
Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on…
* Performing key logistics tasks across the Goods Receiving Bay, North Stores, and Distribution Centre.
* Ensuring customer orders meet On Time to Request (OTTR) targets.
* Using MRP systems and databases to maintain accurate records and transactions.
* Operating material handling equipment (MHE) safely and effectively.
* Supporting recycling and waste disposal routines.
* Collaborating with internal teams to deliver excellent customer service.
* Upholding Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) standards and contributing to improvement initiatives.
* Engaging in continuous improvement projects and driving your own development.
Your previous experience is likely to include….
* Working in a high-volume warehouse or logistics environment.
* Using handheld scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
* Operating various MHE including ride-on, forklift, and reach trucks (valid licenses required).
* Applying safe EHS practices and understanding their commercial impact.
* Leading or contributing to team discussions and decisions.
* Managing workload effectively to meet dynamic deadlines.
