The role spans both corporate and personal tax, and includes team management, strategic planning, and business development responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesManage annual tax return compliance for companies, individuals, and partnershipsDeliver tax planning services including:Remuneration planningCorporate tax strategySuccession planningCapital Gains Tax adviceBenefits in kindCollaborate across teams to provide well-rounded advice that may include VAT, international taxes, LBTT, and Stamp DutiesOversee the delivery of work across the Business Advisory and Private Client teams, supporting compliance for a portfolio of ~1,800 clientsLead onboarding and proposal processes for new clientsMonitor and mentor junior team members, ensuring delivery standards and progressionProduce technical content (blogs, presentations) aligned with your area of expertiseIdentify opportunities to enhance client service across all touchpointsAbout YouRelevant professional qualification (e.g. CA, ATT, CTA)Strong experience in both corporate and personal tax compliance and advisoryPrevious experience managing a team within a professional services or accountancy firmAbility to manage tight deadlines and multiple client demandsExperience handling a client portfolio and maintaining strong client relationshipsConfident using tax software (e.g. Alphatax, CCH)Proactive, clear communicator with a commercial mindsetOn OfferBe part of a modern and people-centric business that values honesty, energy, and ambitionWork in a culture that supports development and innovationHybrid flexibility and a collaborative, non-hierarchical team environmentOffices in Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Stirling – choose the location that works for youIf you like the look of this vacancy and think you could perform the role, but, you don't think you meet all the requirements, please DO APPLY for this opportunity.
