Are you detail-oriented, organised with a can-do attitude? We’re looking for a proactive Finance Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be involved in our credit management process completing customer reviews to ensure credit is managed effectively. They will also monitor the general ledger, ensuring correct coding, posting journals and keeping balance sheet accounts updated and cleared regularly.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure External Customers have any supporting documentation they need to be able to pay on time
* Make sure all External Customers have their deliveries approved in line with their credit
* Assisting with Customer Credit evaluations prior to manufacture
* Assisting with credit risk analysis
* Raising deposit and prepayment invoices in line with customer credit agreements
* Checking invoices have generated correctly and distribute accordingly
* Validating customer refunds before they are paid
* General Ledger monitoring and journal posting
* Review Balance sheet accounts making sure they are up to date and cleared regularly
* Month end reporting on customer rebate accruals
* Run the invoices in dispute list and circulate the report to internal stakeholders
* Assisting in all areas of the finance department, acting as cover in times of absence.
To be successful, you must have excellent attention to detail and be highly organised. Customer satisfaction is extremely important to us, so you should have excellent communication skills and be customer focused. You will ideally be an AAT (or equivalent) studier, with a passion to build a career within Finance. You should have an understanding of general ledger, credit management and Experience working in SAP or another similar ERP system.
You will be based at our office in Huntingdon, with the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis with up to two days a week working from home. Our working hours are typically 37.5 hours between 8.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Thursday, and a shorter day on a Friday finishing by 3.30pm.
