Job Summary To ensure pre-production raw materials and production product* meet specifications and are of acceptable quality. * in-process or finished product testing performed by QC is an independent verification of specified inspections and/or tests that are in addition to online testing performed by production staff during the production process. Duties & Responsibilities - Production: Testing production product in accordance with specified procedures or sampling plans. Document inspection and test results. Approve production product by confirming acceptance to specification. Reject and disposition of production product not meeting specification. Liaise with QA & Production on issues found during product testing. Assist in resolving quality-related issues in a timely manner and support implementation of corrective and preventative actions. Ensure test methods comply with applicable consensus standards and that test methods are validated where required. Ability to grow up and work in a cleanroom environment as required. Prepare reports, present results and communicate effectively with colleagues. Maintain storage and handling of medicinal substances such as antibiotics and antifungals in accordance with GMP requirements. Provide QC input for Research & Development testing, data analysis and interpretation. - Pre-Production: Inspect pre-production raw materials in accordance with specified sampling plans. Approve incoming materials by confirming acceptance to specification. Reject and disposition materials not meeting specification. Ensure inspection and sampling activities are planned adequately to minimise delay of material availability for production. Liaise with QA/QC, and Warehouse & Transport Manager on issues found during material inspection. Assist in resolving quality-related issues in a timely manner and support implementation of corrective and preventative actions. Essential qualifications Level 6 degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline or relevant experience 3 years’ of experience in a quality or manufacturing environment or test laboratory Working knowledge of inspection or laboratory techniques or product testing Organisational skills and an ability to work to tight timelines Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills. Car driver Desirable qualifications Any quality/inspection/testing/microbiology related training Worked within healthcare (medical devices/pharmaceutical) or food Understanding of quality control within a manufacturing environment Able to act on own initiative What do we offer?
