About the Role As our Head of Commercial Excellence, you will be leading a team that is responsible for our customer experience, establishing and ensuring governance of pricing strategy and execution as well as optimising effectiveness of our sales operations. In this pivotal role, a commercial mindset, conceptual skills and strong leadership and collaboration is key, and you'll quickly develop your network across departments, aligning our commercial strategies with overarching business objectives. Key duties include: Enhance our Customer Experience (includes responsibility for our Customer Support Centres) Develop our pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability Drive sales effectiveness initiatives to streamline processes and maximise performance Provide strategic guidance to ensure sales execution excellence Conduct customer segmentation activities & territory management strategies which maximise our commercial impact With guidance from the Director of Sales & Customer Experience, you'll have the backing you need to succeed in the role, and you'll lead a team of 4 direct reports who oversee a commercial team of around 50 staff members. This isn't a role just confined to boardrooms either, you will regularly travel across the UK, including visits to our Head Office in Cheadle. About You You will be an established commercial leader with experience working in a similar environment which sells their products to their customers through a distributor model. You will have a track record of leading commercial teams, driving revenue growth initiatives and improving commercial operations. Youll be a natural leader, accomplished at line management, passionate about coaching & developing, and experienced at embedding a culture of continuous improvement. You will have flexibility to travel across the UK regularly (and ad-hoc international travel). You will also have Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) Strong analytical skills Experience being the key driver of change Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools Desirable Advanced education/training in business (such as MBA or Masters degree or equivalent experience/training) Certifications in Sales Management or Commercial Excellence (such as Certified Sales Executive or Commercial Excellence Certification) Experience of implementing pricing strategies Experience in customer segmentation development and implementation. Familiarity with territory management software and geographic information systems (GIS).
