Our client, a Leading Bank, are looking for a Chief Risk Officer to join their Risk team based in London. Responsibilities below: You'll provide legal advice to our growing syndicate business, combining your technical expertise with a strong understanding of our business. You'll lead on the legal aspects of mid-sized projects, support complex initiatives, and help monitor and mitigate legal risks. This role offers the chance to work closely with senior stakeholders and external advisers, making a real difference in how we manage legal risk and deliver value. Working with the CEO and the Board to set the credit, market, operational and prudential risk strategies and develop a clear risk appetite statement, with supporting policies. Provide relevant input into the development of the overall business strategy. Develop, review, and implement a suitable risk framework and infrastructure with subsequent on-going maintenance and monitoring to ensure continued fitness for purpose. Put in place a control framework to highlight risks and ensure the infrastructure is in place to manage and mitigate them. Maintenance and implementation of Risk framework/infrastructure, policies, and guidelines. Provide oversight and coordination of the Bank's second and third lines of defense. Build and lead an effective team by coaching and guiding direct and indirect reports. Previous experience as a SMF4 / CRO is preferred.
