Senior Operations Manager

About the Role
Are you a dynamic and results-driven leader with a passion for operational excellence? We are looking for an experienced Senior Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations at our West Yorkshire site. This role involves leading multi-skilled shift teams, ensuring top-tier product quality, customer service, and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and motivate teams to achieve site objectives.
Uphold safe working procedures and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Drive strategic projects for operational efficiency (de-bottlenecking, cycle time reduction, etc.).
Maintain effective communication across teams, delivering safety bulletins and team briefs.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes.
Monitor and enhance team performance, identifying training requirements and collaborating with HR & L&D.
Ensure cost-effective operations, managing budgets and spending.
Maintain team discipline, managing attendance and performance effectively.
Oversee site operations, setting production priorities with the SLT.
Collaborate with engineering teams to minimize downtime and plan maintenance schedules.
Manage workforce deployment to meet operational priorities.
Supervise contractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Track and improve key performance indicators (KPIs).
Act as Deputy Site Leader when required.
What We’re Looking For
To excel in this role, you should have:
✔ Degree/HNC or equivalent, or NVQ Level 3 with relevant experience.
✔ Knowledge of COMAH and pharmaceutical GMP (desirable).
✔ Proven background in operational excellence/continuous improvement.
✔ A broad understanding of manufacturing operations, with strong leadership and decision-making skills.
✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
✔ The ability to lead, motivate, and manage multi-disciplined teams in a fast-paced environment.
✔ Experience in budget control and resource management.
