Role Description
Progress your engineering career as an Engineer Surveyor within Allianz Engineering, Construction & Power. You’ll conduct inspections and evaluate a diverse range of plant and equipment at client sites, ensuring compliance with legislation.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out hands‑on inspections of plant and equipment in factories, warehouses and other commercial premises.
* Collaborate closely with the Engineer Surveyor Team and Senior Operations Team Leaders.
* Prepare electronic reports of examinations to deliver fast and efficient results to clients.
* Assess installations, anticipate problems and support clients in maintaining compliance.
* Examine various equipment, including pressure vessels and boilers.
Salary Information
Starting salary: £45,539 per annum + company car. Pay is based on experience, skills and location.
About You
* Current knowledge of compliance and regulatory rules for pressure mechanical discipline.
* Capacity to make informed decisions and take responsibility.
* Effective planning skills for scheduling meetings, visits and work allocation.
* Willingness to travel within local work area.
* Timely processing of documentation and general administration.
* Ready to support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors.
Essential Skills
* Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical Engineering, or actively working towards an equivalent credential.
* Experience with steam generation, compressed air and associated plant, ideally in manufacturing, QA, maintenance and site inspection.
* Strong customer interaction, oral and written communication.
* Full valid UK driving licence.
* Time‑management skills and ability to organise week’s work independently.
* Comfortable using tablets and smartphones as part of daily tasks.
Desirable Skills
* Incorporated Engineer.
* Understanding of Responsible AI principles.
