About the Role Are you passionate about data-led marketing and driving meaningful change in healthcare? We are looking for a Performance Marketing Lead to spearhead Montu/Alternaleaf’s growth in Germany – one of Europe’s most exciting new markets for medical cannabis. You will be the first dedicated performance marketer for Germany, taking ownership of our multi-channel acquisition strategy and scaling compliant, high-performing campaigns end to end. Montu is a global leader in medical cannabis care across the UK and Australia, now expanding into Germany, where medical cannabis is fully legal and regulated. We operate fully within German medical and advertising regulations, with all marketing focused on clinical services. This is a rare opportunity to shape a new market from the ground up while being fully supported by a highly skilled, 10-person marketing team based in the UK. What You’ll Do Lead Germany’s performance marketing strategy across Google, Meta, TikTok, Instagram and emerging channels. Run structured creative and audience testing, continuously improving ROI and scalability. Design and execute A/B tests across ads, landing pages, funnels and audiences. Analyse performance data (CAC, CTR, CVR, ROAS) and translate insights into clear, data-backed decisions. Build dashboards and track KPIs using GA4, Advertiser Dashboards, Looker/Data Studio etc. Manage and forecast budgets, reallocating spend based on real-time performance and market dynamics. Partner with Brand, Product, Clinical, PR and Compliance teams to maintain accurate and regulation-safe messaging. Align acquisition and retention journeys with CRM, email, SMS and remarketing flows. Optimise the full funnel in collaboration with UX, Product, Clinical and CRO specialists. Adapt campaigns to local expectations, cultural nuances and regulatory frameworks in Germany. Drive innovative growth initiatives and strategic partnerships to scale patient acquisition. What We’re Looking For Essential Fluent German and English (written and spoken) 4 years’ hands-on experience managing multi-channel performance campaigns Proven expertise in Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads and social optimisation Strong analytical skills and proficiency. Experience building high-performing paid search and paid social programmes Ability to turn data into actionable insights and strategic improvements Highly organised, adaptable, able to manage shifting priorities Excellent communicator, confident working cross-functionally Passion for ethical, evidence-based marketing and improving patient experiences Nice to Have Experience in regulated sectors (healthcare, wellness, telemedicine or pharma) Understanding of GDPR, TTDSG, ASA and MHRA advertising considerations Experience with influencer/affiliate programmes in restricted categories Familiarity with SEO, copy testing or CRO methodologies Our Stack (You’ll Be Using) Acquisition & Analytics: Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, TikTok Ads, Surfer SEO, GA4, Looker/Data Studio, Supermetrics Automation & CRM: Mailchimp, GTM, Webflow Collaboration & Workflow: Slack, Trello/Jira Where You’ll Work This role sits within our UK-based marketing team (10 people), giving you strong support across creative, CRM, analytics, product, and compliance.
