Role Description And Objectives
As a Principal Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will be a subject-matter expert for delivering ingenious solutions on Google Cloud Platform. GCP experience is desirable but not essential if you are eager to learn; experience with AWS or Azure is essential. You may lead a development team or work across multiple teams providing centralized expertise for a larger program.
* Lead architectural discussions and set direction.
* Own DevSecOps processes across a team or multiple teams, establishing robust methods and patterns.
* Serve as a primary client engagement point and communicate regularly with the client.
* Coach and mentor the team; help shape proposals with a bid team and articulate solutions, potentially presenting during formal selections.
* Play an active role in technical account management.
Design GCP-enabled solutions for clients across industries. PA supports your development and GCP certifications. Expect a hands-on, immersive working week. All staff are client-facing and empowered to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
Qualifications
Professional experience
Knowledge of the following products and deep experience in one or more categories:
* Cloud Functions, Cloud Run
* Kubernetes Engine, Compute Engine
* VPCs, Service Perimeters
* Cloud Spanner, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Firestore
* API Endpoints, Apigee, API Gateway
* Vertex AI, Model Garden, ADK and Agent Engine
* Security Command Center, IAP, IAM
Sound understanding of architectural principles:
* Microservices patterns
* Event-driven architectures and message queues
* Relational and non-relational databases
* Development and/or scripting experience (e.g., Python, Node, Bash)
* Security-focused, hardened architectures
Additional beneficial experience:
* Knowledge of other cloud platforms
* Automation/DevOps experience using Google tools (Cloud Build) and open-source tools (Terraform)
Personal qualities
We are looking for an experienced person to join our Google Alliance Team. This is a critical role that requires creative, cognitive, and emotional intelligence. We expect:
