Quality Engineer – Manufacturing Location: Portsmouth Salary: £45,000 per annum We are working with a well-established manufacturing organisation based in Portsmouth who are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team. This role would suit a hands-on Quality Engineer who enjoys working closely with production and engineering teams to drive quality standards and continuous improvement across the business. The Role As Quality Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Maintaining and improving quality systems within a manufacturing environment Investigating non-conformances and leading root cause analysis using recognised tools (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, etc.) Supporting internal and external audits Working cross-functionally with production, engineering, and supply chain teams Driving continuous improvement initiatives Supporting supplier quality activities where required The Candidate The successful candidate will have: Proven experience in a Quality Engineer role within manufacturing Strong working knowledge of quality tools and methodologies Experience with ISO quality management systems (ISO 9001 or similar) Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across departments A proactive, detail-focused approach and willingness to be present on the shop floor
