Vehicle Commissioning Engineers
South Central Fleet Services Ltd is seeking Vehicle Commissioning Engineers to join our workshop facility in Eastleigh. The role supports the South Central Ambulance Service by maintaining and commissioning ambulances and specialist vehicles.
This is an exciting time to join our team and play an integral part in ensuring ambulances are available to support patients. The workshop operates 5 days a week during standard business hours.
The role offers a unique opportunity to maintain and commission a diverse range of vehicles and ancillary equipment, such as lights, CCTV, trackers, system controllers, battery/energy management and advanced electronic components.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out commissioning and maintenance of ambulances and other vehicles to SCFS standards.
* Attend other trust premises to undertake and guide repairs, ensuring safety guidelines are followed.
* Prepare new vehicles for service and old vehicles for disposal.
* Maintain records relating to the maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment.
* Ensure health and safety of yourself and others, reporting any hazards or accidents immediately.
* Follow security procedures.
* Attend training courses relating to the maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment.
* Make decisions on vehicle repairs in the absence of the Fleet Supervisor.
* Fully participate in all income‑generating work relevant to the Fleet Commissioning operation.

Benefits
