We are recruiting for a Behaviour Mentor to support students at a thriving secondary school in Haringey. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people.
As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you'll work closely with students who need help managing their behaviour, building positive relationships, and engaging in school life. You'll play a vital role in improving attendance, classroom behaviour, and student confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group behaviour mentoring to secondary school students
Support students with emotional regulation and behaviour management strategies
Collaborate with teachers and the pastoral team to implement behaviour support plans
Monitor progress and help create a positive, respectful learning environment
Act as a role model and trusted adult for students who need additional supportRequirements:
Previous experience working with young people (e.g. in schools, youth work, or mentoring)
Confidence in managing challenging behaviour and de-escalating situations
Excellent communication, resilience, and teamwork skills
A positive attitude and a desire to support young people to succeed
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
