Roles:
Breeding Bird Surveyor - Hull/Bridlington, UK (EGL2 Project)
• Conduct early morning surveys to identify, assess breeding activity prior to construction work.
• Record and report findings accurately, ensuring compliance with wildlife protection regulations.
• Collaborate with site teams to implement mitigation measures to protect breeding birds.
Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) - Hull/Bridlington, UK (EGL2 Project)
• Provide on-site ecological supervision during construction activities.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits, licenses, and regulations.
• Advise construction teams on best practices for minimizing ecological impacts.
• Monitor and report on environmental performance, identifying and addressing any issues
Great Crested Newt (GCN) Accredited Agent - Solihull/Birmingham, UK
• Conduct surveys for Great Crested Newts (GCN) on HS2 sites.
• Manage trapping and relocation efforts to ensure no GCNs are harmed during construction.
• Provide expert advice on GCN protection measures, ensure compliance with ecological standards.
What We’re Looking For:
• Nesting Bird Surveyor:
• Proven experience in conducting nesting bird surveys and identifying common UK bird species.
• Ability to work independently and reliably in early morning hours.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate reporting skills.
• Fit for outdoor work including walking across construction sites
Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW)
• Experience working on construction sites, preferably with knowledge of construction practices.
• Ability to confidently communicate with construction teams and enforce ecological guidelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Fit for outdoor work including walking across construction sites
Great Crested Newt (GCN) Accredited Agent on HS2:
• Must hold a personal license to survey for Great Crested Newts on HS2, GCN AA.
• Experience working on HS2 projects, particularly in the northern section
• Fit for outdoor work including walking across construction sites
