Manager (RAA Recruitment )
We are looking for a manager to join the Business Operations team within Registry and Academic Affairs (RAA). For further details of the services supported by RAA and the role of Business Operations, please browsethese pages.
This role is specifically focused on managing recruitment across the department. You will be an expert in recruitment practices with an excellent understanding of all parts of the University recruitment process, from approving a vacancy, running a competitive process and assigning roles. You will be part of a small team with a wide reach, meaning you will organise and communicate across all teams in RAA. You will rely on their support to complete your activities. Therefore, excellent communication and organisation skills are essential.
You will lead the recruitment activity to fill all administrator and senior administrator roles. This includes running recruitment events, organising up to 20 colleagues to interview up to 50 candidates in a single day. You will also drive improvements in recruitment for higher level roles, taking ownership of many aspects. You will be committed to our goals of recruiting the highest calibre candidates, ensuring a fair and transparent process.
You will be a driving force to recommend process improvements and understand how to put ideas into practice. You will also have outstanding attention to detail, using your knowledge of HR processes to ensure full consistency and compliance across the department. You will be meticulous in your planning to ensure all recruitment processes and activities run smoothly.
This position is offered on a permanent basis. Hours are part time (20 hours per week). You will work a standard agreed pattern for most of the time. However, some flexibility will be necessary during recruitment events. You will manage your own deadlines around the part time hours to ensure your responsibilities are covered.
