Description
The Head of Direct Procurement will be responsible for;
* Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise costs and support business objectives.
* Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
* Lead contract negotiations and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
* Oversee the procurement team to drive performance and professional development.
* Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain to ensure operational continuity.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business needs.
* Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
* Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
Profile
A successful Head of Direct Procurement should have:
* Extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management within the industrial or manufacturing sectors.
* A strong track record of successfully leading procurement teams and driving cost efficiencies.
* Proven expertise in supplier relationship management and contract negotiations.
* Knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and implement effective solutions.
* Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in procurement or supply chain management.
* Available in Bristol office - 3 days per week 2 from home
Job Offer
