The Role This is a senior, site-based engineering leadership role responsible for leading the engineering function and driving operational performance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be accountable for ensuring the engineering team delivers high standards of maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on maximising plant performance, uptime, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the site engineering team, ensuring strong performance, engagement, and capability Oversee planned preventative maintenance activities and breakdown response Drive improvements in plant reliability, automation, and engineering performance Manage engineering contractors and ensure all works are carried out safely and compliantly Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, quality, and site standards Support and lead continuous improvement and capital project activities Manage engineering budgets and maintenance spend Ensure effective control of engineering stores and spare parts Support audit readiness and site compliance requirements Work closely with operational and site leadership teams to deliver site objectives The Ideal Candidate Experienced Engineering Leader from a manufacturing or FMCG environment Strong background leading multi-skilled engineering teams Proven experience improving plant performance and reliability Comfortable managing contractors and engineering compliance Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Experience with automation or modern manufacturing systems would be advantageous Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to drive positive change Why Apply?
