Technical Services Manager - London Portfolio - Hybrid - £75k
We are seeking a Technical Services Manager to oversee technical facilities management across the London & South portfolio. This role involves managing the technical supply chain, providing engineering and compliance support, and ensuring operational excellence across multiple work streams, including:
Business Solutions & Transition Management
Operational & Contract Management
Project & Fit-Out Management
Engineering Consultancy
Health & Safety Compliance
Sustainability & Energy Management Key Responsibilities:
Partner with Facilities Management, Building Consultancy, and Sustainability teams to drive collaborative solutions.
Oversee technical site inspections, audits, and contractor performance against KPIs.
Lead engagement on fit-out, project, and redevelopment works.
Support small works projects (fabric works, plant replacement, insurance works), ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Provide technical oversight for M&E compliance, H&S requirements, and contractor documentation.
Review energy performance data, sustainability initiatives, and support ESG objectives.
Manage contractor meetings, periodic audits, and provide clear technical reporting to clients.
Advise on the implementation of new technologies, including smart building and IoT solutions, and contribute to net-zero initiatives.
Manage and develop a team, ensuring alignment with core values and building technical capability across FM, Surveying, and Sustainability. Skills & Experience:
2–4 years’ experience in technical services or facilities management, ideally within high-quality commercial office environments.
Strong understanding of building engineering, maintenance, and M&E systems.
Experience managing fit-out works from a landlord perspective.
Solid knowledge of H&S regulations (COSHH, L8, LOLER, PUWER, IPAF, PASMA, CDM, etc.).
Proficient in technical audits, compliance assessments, and report writing.
Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience, with professional memberships (IWFM, NEBOSH, IOSH) preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage with clients, occupiers, contractors, and wider stakeholders.
