Deputy Manager Position - Outstanding Ofsted Rated Children's Residential Home

We are recruiting for a Deputy Manager to join a well-established, 'Outstanding' rated children's residential home in Ilkeston (DE7), supporting two young people aged 16 and 18 with Autism and Learning Disabilities.
About the home:
* Specialist provision for young people with communication difficulties and autism
* Two settled children: one is 16 and interested in music and arts & crafts, partially sighted; the other is an 18-year-old autistic male, high functioning, who loves gaming and is transitioning into independence after four years in the home
* Both are in school and have settled well
Supportive, activity-rich environment including cinema, theatre, walks, sports, and more!
Led by an experienced Registered Manager with over 3 years at the home. All senior staff have career progression opportunities, and there are additional local homes for overtime.
This is the third home for the company, which has a proven record of creating homely and comforting environments that enable children and young people to express their characters and establish independence.
The home received an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rating in the last inspection, recognizing the incredible outcomes achieved by staff and management.

Shift Patterns:
* Early: 07:30 - 15:00
* Late: 14:30 - 22:00 or with sleep
* Long day: 07:30 - 22:00 or with sleep
* 39 hours per week

Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and supervising shifts with energy and empathy
* Supporting and developing staff through supervision and coaching
* Overseeing paperwork, risk assessments, and shift debriefs
* Collaborating with Local Authorities, education, and health professionals
* Ensuring compliance with Ofsted, Quality Standards, and Health & Safety guidelines
* Encouraging a positive team culture and reflective practice
* Minimum of 3 years experience in Residential Childcare
* Level 3 or 4 diploma in Residential Care
* Manual Driving License
