About the Role You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4, teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at KS3 and at least one science specialism at KS4. The ideal candidate will be committed to inspiring curiosity, developing practical skills, and supporting students to achieve their best academically. Key Responsibilities • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum • Teach all three disciplines at KS3 and a specialism at KS4 • Create differentiated resources to support a range of learners • Guide students through practical investigations and scientific enquiry • Prepare students for GCSE assessments and examinations • Maintain strong behaviour expectations and build positive relationships • Work collaboratively with Science Technicians to ensure safe and effective practical sessions • Monitor data, track progress, and provide meaningful feedback • Contribute to curriculum development, enrichment, and departmental initiatives • Attend CPD, meetings, and adhere to safeguarding procedures Ideal Candidate • QTS and experience teaching Science across KS3–KS4 • Strong subject knowledge in at least one science discipline • Confident delivering practical science and managing lab safety • Passionate about raising achievement and fostering a love of learning • Collaborative, reflective, and committed to professional growth This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving school community where staff are valued, supported, and equipped with outstanding facilities.
