Your new role
As an Environmental Advisor, you will support the Environmental Manager in delivering robust environmental performance across infrastructure projects. This role provides an exciting blend of on‑site presence, collaborative working with technical specialists, and hands‑on environmental assurance.
Main duties include...
1. Support the delivery of environmental requirements in line with the Construction Code of Practice and Environmental Works documentation.
2. Assist in the development and implementation of Environmental Management System (EMS) documentation and processes.
3. Help design and roll out environmental mitigation measures and monitoring regimes.
4. Undertake environmental reporting, tracking risks, opportunities, and progress against KPIs.
5. Conduct site inspections and assurance activities to ensurepliance with legal, client, and contractual requirements.
6. Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary internal teams and the supply chain to develop and implement solutions across all aspects of the environment.
7. Support engagement with external stakeholders including statutory consultees, technical specialists, and client representatives.
8. Promote innovation and continuous improvement in environmental performance across the project lifecycle.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential:
9. Full UK driving licence
10. Proven experience in an Environmental Advisor role
11. Strong understanding of environmental legislation and environmental management system principles.
12. Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
13. Highly organised, with the determination to see tasks through topletion.
14. Collaborative approach to problem solving.
Desirable:
15. Experience working on environmental issues within a construction or infrastructure environment.
16. Membership of a relevant environmental professional body ISEP.
17. Demonstrated ability to take on new challenges with enthusiasm and a structured approach.
