We are seeking a dedicated Attendance Officer to join a welcoming secondary school on a permanent basis. This role is crucial in ensuring that students achieve their best by maintaining excellent levels of attendance and punctuality.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and monitor daily student attendance and punctuality.
*
Carry out first-day absence calls and follow up on unexplained absences.
*
Work with senior leaders to track attendance data and produce reports.
*
Liaise with parents, staff, and external agencies to address attendance concerns.
*
Support safeguarding policies and escalate concerns appropriately.
Requirements:
*
Previous experience in an attendance, admin, or pastoral role within a school environment.
*
Confident using SIMS or similar school management systems (training can be provided).
*
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
*
Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage sensitive situations confidentially.
*
Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, email).
