As part of the highly skilled Asset Support Team, the Mechanical Engineer will work under the direction of the Converting Asset Leader to provide both proactive and reactive maintenance support within their area discipline. This will be a hands-on role in both planned maintenance and troubleshooting scenarios. In this role, you will be installing, maintaining and repairing mechanical components of machines and assets in our mill facility, in accordance with our reliability strategy and site safety standards. Demonstrate and drive the 3 Safety Obligations Take decisive action when in “red condition” versus standard Conduct all necessary Process health checks and essential care rounds Identifies appropriate solutions to failure. Applies analysis techniques such as Asset Criticality, FMEAC/FMEA, RCM, Fall, Event and Weibull analysis. You will be maintaining equipment associated with the production, packaging and distribution of Kimberly-Clark products through preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance work. It starts with YOU. Required Qualifications Formal Engineering qualifications, typically to degree level (minimum HNC). Achieved an HNC/HND (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline. In addition, you will have a recognised apprenticeship in a relevant field ideally NVQ level 3 with hands on experience in Manufacturing/FMCG environments. Preferred qualifications Transfer in-depth technical knowledge of mechanical equipment and systems (e.g., Pumps, Motors, Gearboxes, Transmission Systems, Steam Generation, and Lifting equipment).
