About the Role
EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market‑leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial, and BAM Nuttall. The team specializes in design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including one of Europe’s latest high‑speed rail projects. We are recruiting a Site Engineer to join our Engineering team in the Aylesbury area.
Responsibilities
* Act as the senior on‑site engineer, overseeing junior engineers and ensuring construction operations are conducted to required standards, programme and budget.
* Liaise with the Sub‑Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials for works activities.
* Coordinate the setting‑out team and mentor junior engineers, identifying and resolving technical problems on site.
* Monitor and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring their works meet contractual requirements.
* Assist with production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans, and contribute to financial forecasting.
About You
* HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent and working towards institute membership (ICE).
* Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills.
* Experience in utilities, earthworks, heavy structures or drainage is essential.
* Full driving licence required; access to a vehicle (for remote site compounds).
* Hold one of the following competencies: CSCS White, White‑Yellow, Red‑Experienced, Black‑Manager or Gold‑Supervisor.
