Personal Assistant/Project Support Officer – Forensic Directorate
Contract: 14‑month fixed term (maternity cover) – Full time (Band 6).
Salary: £39,959 to £48,117 per annum.
Location: Littlemore Mental Health Centre, Oxford.

Role Summary
You will support the Director of Forensic Mental Health by managing complex diaries, coordinating meetings and events, preparing agendas and minutes, and providing project‑support across the Forensic Directorate. The role requires strong organisational skills, discretion, and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for the Director, managing confidential communications and complex diary arrangements.
* Organise and coordinate meetings, events and travel, ensuring timely agendas, papers and accurate minutes.
* Support project workstreams: monitor progress, track deadlines, prepare reports, briefing documents and presentations.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, communicating professionally at all levels.
* Provide line‑management support to administrative staff, contributing to team development and service improvement.
* Travel independently between Trust sites as required.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
* Degree level education or equivalent professional qualification.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Knowledge of project management and governance structures.
* Experience of taking and transcribing formal minutes.
* Experience managing small/medium‑sized projects.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Extensive experience with Microsoft Office applications.
* Organisational and time‑management skills with ability to prioritise workload.
* Accuracy, attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
* Professional behaviour, high integrity, and confidentiality.
* Ability to adapt rapidly to changing situations and priorities.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
* PRINCE2 certification.
* Experience at a management level within a large NHS or public sector organisation.
