We have an exciting role on offer within our Transport and Infrastructure as a Transport Administrator. About Us This is an excellent opportunity to join our Integrated Transport Unit Team, which is based at Resolution House, Cargo Fleet Lane, Middlesbrough. This will involve providing support to the team delivering a variety of administrative, financial, customer and front-line services to enable the effective operation of Integrated Transport provision. The role is varied and interesting, allowing for both personal and professional development. The ideal candidate will have a positive "can do" approach. The post holder will support the efficient and effective delivery of administration duties, providing office support including dealing with customers calling and visiting the service using various formats. The roles involve being part of a flexible team that provide Home to School and Adult Social Care Transport and travel assistance for our town’s vulnerable children and adults. To be successful in this role you need the knowledge of such transport provision and the ability to develop an understanding of procurement, SEND, EHCP and transport legislation. You should have good I.T skills and be able to assist in compilation of data across all areas of the service. You must be committed to training and development and work to the Council’s Customer Charter, Corporate Values and other Corporate Standards. You will be challenged and rewarded in supporting and dealing with families needing travel assistance within educational and adult care settings, staff, suppliers and other agency professionals. You will have the ability to develop excellent organisational and communication skills and be confident, diplomatic and calm in sensitive situations (including discussing disabilities or special needs with parents/carers).
