About the role: Porchlight is a leading Kent-based charity supporting people experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges and complex needs. We are seeking an experienced Practice Quality Lead to join our Services leadership team on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Director of Services, the Practice Quality Lead provides leadership with operational reach and is responsible for setting the vision for high-quality practice across Porchlight and ensuring it is embedded consistently across all services. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our work reflects sector-recognised best practice, promotes safety and learning, and delivers the best possible outcomes for the people we support.

You will work closely with senior leaders, managers and frontline teams to translate quality frameworks, evidence and learning into practical, meaningful approaches that improve day-to-day practice. The role also provides assurance to Heads of Service and contributes to organisational governance, learning and continuous improvement.

The role requires:

We’re looking for a values-driven, strategic and approachable leader with:

* Substantial senior-level experience in quality assurance, practice governance or clinical governance
* Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to embed quality into frontline practice
* In-depth knowledge of safeguarding principles and experience supporting safe practice across services
* Excellent analytical, reporting and communication skills
* The ability to translate evidence, standards and frameworks into practical, accessible approaches
* A commitment to co-production, inclusive practice and lived experience involvement
* Experience within homelessness, mental health or related support services is desirable.

Porchlight is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk.

Working pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Location: Canterbury - Hybrid working

Contract type: Permanent

Salary: £44,075

Interview date: 11 May 2026

Please note, salaries are pro-rata for part-time positions.
