As we continue to expand, we’re looking for an organised and detail‑oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join our finance team and play an important role in keeping our operations running smoothly.


The Role

The Accounts Payable Assistant will be responsible for managing supplier invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and supporting the wider finance team with reconciliations and reporting. You’ll be the first point of contact for all supplier payment queries and will play a key role in maintaining strong relationships across the business and with our external partners.


Key Responsibilities

* Process and record supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
* Monitor & process purchase orders.
* Ensure invoices are approved in line with company policies and payment terms.
* Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs.
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
* Maintain up‑to‑date and accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
* Manage staff expense claims and credit card reconciliations.
* Support month‑end close with accruals, prepayments, and reporting.
* Work closely with the finance and events teams to ensure all costs are captured correctly.
* Assist with ad‑hoc finance projects and process improvements.


About You

* Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or finance administration role.
* Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Confident communicator with a professional, approachable manner.
* Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and purchase ledger processes.
* Competent in using accounting software and Excel.
* Proactive, reliable, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
