The Role
1. Manage a caseload of private and/or public law cases.
2. Provide professional social work advice and assistance to Courts to facilitate timely proceedings and secure the best outcomes for children based on their needs and interests.
3. Present high-quality evidence orally and in writing to the Court.
4. Prioritize the child's welfare throughout proceedings, ensuring safeguarding in line with organisational requirements and All Wales Child Protection Procedures.
5. Consider and report on the child's wishes and feelings promptly and accurately during assessments.
6. Support and advise parents and relevant parties to minimise court interventions, always acting in the child's best interests.
7. Adhere to organisational policies, statutory requirements, and court rules in service delivery.
8. Utilize ICT effectively for case planning, recording, and supporting service delivery.
The Candidate
* Qualified Social Worker
* Ability to assess needs, safeguard, and promote the welfare of vulnerable children involved in Family Proceedings, providing advice and reports to courts for optimal outcomes.
* Social Care Wales registration or equivalent is required for agency workers.
* Maintain respectful behaviour towards colleagues, partners, contacts, customers, and the public at all times.
* Proficiency in both English and Welsh is desirable.
