I am currently recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing regional contractor for an experienced Site Manager to oversee the safe, efficient and high‑quality delivery of construction projects. This is a key operational role, responsible for leading site teams, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered to programme, budget and client expectations.

The Role
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for day‑to‑day site operations and project delivery. Core duties include:
* Leading and supervising construction projects to ensure client specifications, quality standards and deadlines are consistently met
* Liaising with clients, consultants, design teams and the supply chain to align on project objectives and progress
* Monitoring project costs, margins and resources in collaboration with quantity surveyor
* Reviewing designs and identifying value‑engineering opportunities
* Preparing and managing site reports, drawings, lookahead programmes and schedules
* Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers to maintain smooth site operations
* Recording and communicating site instructions and updates to avoid delays
* Conducting safety inspections and ensuring full compliance with company policies and HSE regulations
* Maintaining quality control in line with QEMS procedures and resolving issues proactively
* Supporting contract negotiations, permits, snagging and defect close‑out (including use of Audit Brick)
* Building strong relationships with internal teams and external partners
About You
You will be a confident, organised and solutions‑focused Site Manager with strong leadership capability. Essential requirements include:
* SMSTS
* CSCS Managers & Professionals Card
* Scaffold Awareness
* First Aid
* Strong leadership, communication and customer‑facing skills
* Ability to work well with others, manage pressure and adapt to change
* Knowledge of building and construction processes
* Competence using computers or handheld devices
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Additional essential competencies: Abrasive Wheel, Asbestos Awareness, Environmental Awareness, Fire Marshall, Manual Handling, PASMA, RAMS, Safe Working at Height & Temporary Works Awareness, First Aid at Work, SMSTS
Desirable: Previous construction industry experience.
