Role purpose

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an analytical individual to join our Insurance Broker Accounts (IBA) team. The team works closely with Lockton’s clients and insurance underwriters to carry out the reconciliation and management of client money.

This role is ideal for someone interested in finance with a keen eye for detail, looking to join a dynamic and growing business. The successful candidate will demonstrate accuracy, initiative, and excellent communication skills to build positive relationships with stakeholders.

Based in our Brighton office, you will benefit from the support of a longstanding professional team to support your career development.


Candidate requirements:

* A good understanding of the general and legal principles applicable to insurance, particularly FSA client money rules.
* Working knowledge of Lockton’s computer desktop software, including Microsoft Office suite, Excel, Brokersure BE/EA, Power BI, Sector, and A4B.
* Good numerical ability and an analytical mindset.
* Adaptability and a change-oriented approach.
* Accuracy and a right-first-time approach.
* Ability to work well as part of a team and support colleagues.
* Ability to meet individual and team goals and objectives.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills to maintain positive relationships with colleagues, clients, insurers, and third-party providers, representing Lockton professionally.
* Ability to analyze and interpret financial data to facilitate decision-making, with excellent attention to detail.
* Strong problem-solving skills, including research and investigation.
* Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage time, prioritize, and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
* Effective delegation skills as appropriate.
* Understanding of cash collection/payment processes, such as general insurance accounting and client invoicing, is desirable.
