Job Description
We’re on the hunt for a Desk Based Account Manager to join our high-performing sales team where you will play a key role in supporting the Sales and Account Management function within Netcentrix.
The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of customer accounts, handle inbound customer queries, and assist with quotations, renewals, and order administration.
This role is ideally suited to someone currently working in a Sales Development Representative (SDR), Customer services, Inside Sales, or Sales Support position within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or Value-Added Reseller (VAR) who is looking to progress into account management.
The position provides exposure to a wide range of technology services, including Microsoft Cloud, Cyber Security, Server, and Network solutions.
Reporting to the Head of Sales & Account Management, key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
* Act as a first point of contact for customer queries and requests, ensuring a high level of service and professionalism.
* Manage CRM activities including raising opportunities and orders, updating customer records, and supporting accurate sales forecasting.
* Generate simple quotations using approved quoting tools for product and service requirements.
* Assist with customer renewals, ensuring timely and accurate renewal quotations.
* Support the resolution of customer issues and complaints in collaboration with Service Desk and Project teams.
* Liaise with internal teams to monitor progress on customer issues and ongoing projects.
* Identify and progress order opportunities where appropriate.
* Maintain up-to-date customer information and documentation within the CRM system.
* Develop sales and account management skills to independently manage a defined portfolio customer accounts.
* Support field-based Account Managers in maintaining customer satisfaction and account growth for larger clients.
* Contribute to increasing customer awareness and adoption of the full Netcentrix portfolio of products and services.
* Ensure customer contact information and engagement records are consistently accurate and complete.
* Work proactively towards agreed performance objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with business goals.
Skills, knowledge, competencies that are required for the role are as follows:
Essential
* Experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP), Value-Added Reseller (VAR), or similar technology-focused environment.
* Background in Sales Development (SDR), Inside Sales, or Sales Support with exposure to customer account interaction.
* Proficient in using CRM and quoting tools to manage customer data, opportunities, and renewals.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a confident and professional telephone manner.
* Well-organised, with the ability to multitask and manage workloads effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Customer-focused and commercially aware, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Desirable
