Band 7 Patient Pathway Manager - Neurosciences

The Department of Neurosciences seeks an experienced Patient Pathway Manager to deliver strategic, operational and performance‑based improvements within our Neurology and Stroke services. You will work with clinical and non‑clinical colleagues to ensure services are delivered within available capacity using all resources for the benefit of stakeholders and service users.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a diverse team of administrative staff within the Neurosciences service area.
* Ensure delivery of Rapid Test Transfer (RTT), Cancer and Diagnostic pathways and, where relevant, Stroke pathways in compliance with statutory standards.
* Provide a strategic overview of all specialties within Neurosciences and plan for periods of recovery while maintaining set performance metrics.
* Influence decisions to secure timely patient assessment and treatment, applying correct escalation processes and resolving service issues.
* Partner with the General Manager to support the wider strategic development of the service and the Care Group’s objectives.
* Deliver operational support across elective and non‑elective care pathways, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree Level education or equivalent experience.
* Proven NHS operational experience at Band 6 or above.
* Strong knowledge of RTT, Cancer, and Diagnostic pathways; experience with 18‑week and cancer pathways.
* Experience managing medical, administrative and clerical staff.
* Knowledge of SSNAP and PAS.
* Strong character and ability to influence decisions within multidisciplinary teams.
Salary
£55,524 to £62,652 per annum inclusive.
