An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to be part of our Autism Intensive Support Team for Coventry and Warwickshire.

The team is a specialist, multi-disciplinary team currently consisting of Occupational Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Nursing and Therapy Assistants, and Assistant Psychologists.
Main duties of the job
* Clinical assessments
* Communication plans
* Specialist speech interventions
* Reviewing targets
* Autism-informed interventions to reduce the risk of hospital admission due to mental health crisis
* Creating autism profiles as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Providing individualised training to families and care providers

Job responsibilities
As a team, we work systemically to understand and support the challenges faced by adults with autism in mental health crisis and their families.
We collaborate with the individual's network (e.g., Adult Mental Health, Social Care, Education) and work closely with commissioners. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will have experience of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working, attending and chairing regular MDTs, CETRs, and EMDTs.
You will visit individuals at their home, school, or appropriate settings multiple times a week to conduct assessments and interventions.

Person Specification
* Proven knowledge and skills relevant to children’s and/or adult SLT.
* SLT clinical experience working with children & adults with neurodevelopmental disorders/mental health issues.
