SEN Teacher
Location: York
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum
Contract: Full Time / Part Time
Start Date: Immediate or September 2026
GSL Education are recruiting a dedicated SEN Teacher to work within a specialist setting in York.
About the School
This specialist provision supports pupils with a range of additional needs including SEMH, ASC and learning difficulties. The school provides a structured and nurturing environment focused on personalised learning and emotional wellbeing.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to pupil needs
* Support pupils with complex learning and behavioural needs
* Adapt teaching strategies to ensure engagement
* Work collaboratively with support staff
* Monitor and assess pupil progress
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience working in SEN or specialist settings preferred
* Strong understanding of additional needs
* Patient and resilient approach
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
