Overview
A respected and growing specialist conveyancing firm based in Manchester is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Paralegal to join its busy residential property team. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive paralegal with solid residential conveyancing experience who is looking to work within a high-performing, supportive environment with clear structure, modern systems, and long-term progression opportunities.
The successful candidate will assist fee earners and/or manage their own caseload depending on experience, working on a varied range of residential property transactions from instruction through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with and/or managing a caseload of residential conveyancing matters, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
* Drafting and reviewing legal documentation, including contracts, transfer deeds (TR1), reports on title, completion statements, and post-completion documentation
* Raising and responding to enquiries, reviewing contract packs, title documents, searches, and management information
* Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, mortgage brokers, and other solicitors to progress transactions efficiently and meet deadlines
* Supporting exchange and completion processes, including requesting mortgage funds and coordinating completion logistics
* Conducting AML and CDD checks in line with regulatory requirements
* Preparing and submitting Land Registry applications and dealing with requisitions
* Updating case management systems accurately and maintaining compliant, well-organised files
* Providing a high standard of client care throughout the transaction lifecycle
Requirements
* Previous experience in residential conveyancing (essential)
* Experience working as a Conveyancing Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or similar role
* Good understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction to post-completion
* Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
* Confident communicator with a client-focused approach
* Ability to manage deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Familiarity with case management systems and lender portals is advantageous
