Job Description
Project Manager / Circa £500pd Outside IR35 / 6 Months / Bolton (once a fortnight on site)
My client is looking for someone to lead and coordinate the business-wide effort required to respond to a formal CMA (Competition & Markets Authority) information request. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant submissions to the regulator.
You will act as the central coordinator for all activity related to the CMA response process. Working across multiple functions, you'll bring structure, control, and clarity to a high-pressure workstream with strict statutory deadlines.
Project Coordination & Planning
* Build and maintain a comprehensive workstream plan covering timelines, owners, risks, and dependencies linked to the CMA response.
* Manage a central log, document control processes, and versioning for all materials.
* Ensure all outputs align with statutory 20-working-day submission requirements.
Stakeholder Management
* Coordinate inputs across Finance, Operations, Commercial, Clinical, HR, Digital, Customer Services, and other teams.
* Serve as the central point of contact for all contributors involved in the CMA response.
* Ensure submissions are accurate, consistent, fully evidenced, and approved at the appropriate level.
* Maintain a complete audit trail for documents, sources, and signoffs.
Managing CMA Requests
* Review CMA Notices and map each request to relevant internal owners.
* Track progress, chase updates, escalate risks, and ensure clarity of requirements for contributors.
* Support interpretation of CMA instructions and prepare concise summaries for internal teams.
Quality Assurance & Governance
* Conduct detailed quality checks on all materials prior to submission.
* Ensure consistency across all files and adherence to CMA-required formats.
* Support internal governance and review cycles.
