What you’ll be doing
as a Customer Sampling Technician
1. This role involves extensive travel between customers and sites, and you will be working as part of a busy team across a wide geographical area.
2. It will be your responsibility to test water samples, and you’ll oversee the management of the maintenance of your sampling records and sampling equipment to industry standards.
3. You may also investigate supply issues and customer complaints.
Base Location: Guildford, GU4 8BW. Travel required between Guildford and Marlow. Standard working hours are 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. The role includes participation in a standby rota, one in every five weeks, which involves working weekends. An additional payment will be provided for standby.
What you should bring to the role
4. Previous experience covering Driving and Customer Service will be required, as frequent cold calling customers in their homes, and long periods spent driving/navigating.
5. Have the confidence to ‘cold call’ upon residential and commercial properties.
6. A clean manual driving license is required.
7. Ability to plan journeys efficiently, as well as good driving knowledge.
8. Be organised and work well on your own.
9. Have existing knowledge or be open to learning about the water industry and processes relevant to this area of work.
10. Good computer literacy.
