Be the RP for a new UK distance-selling pharmacy compounding unlicensed topical medicines. You’ll set up and run safe, lawful services, design and maintain the Pharmacy Quality Management System (PQMS), and keep us inspection-ready at all times in a fast-paced, high-growth start-up.
Responsibilities
* Act as RP under the RP Regulations 2008; maintain the RP record/notice and daily governance.
* Design, implement and maintain the PQMS (risk register, SOPs, change control, training, deviation/CAPA, audits) to ensure continuous regulatory compliance.
* Lead inspection-readiness
* Oversee unlicensed preparation
* Ensure distance-selling safeguards
* Assure records integrity and retrievability (specials register; clinical/production/dispatch records).
* Run monthly governance: incident/complaint trending, CAPA effectiveness, audit follow-up.
* Partner with Operations, Clinical, Tech and Suppliers to unblock issues rapidly and support start-up and scale-up.
Requirements
* GPhC-registered pharmacist with a strong governance mindset.
* Practical experience in any of: online/distance services, extemporaneous preparation, or quality/inspection-readiness.
* Clear, concise communicator; can brief non-pharmacists and write usable SOPs.
* Bias to action in a start-up: prioritise, document and close actions; learn on the job.
* Comfortable owning decisions (release/withhold, refuse, escalate) with sound clinical judgement.
* Nice to have: Dermatology “specials” experience; operations know-how; GMP/Regulatory experience.
