Product Design Engineer Permanent Full-Time Salary - Circa £35,000 DOE Location - Office Based in Wolverhampton Join a leading UK manufacturer of premium bathroom furniture, known for combining innovative design with exceptional craftsmanship. We're looking for a Product Design Engineer to lead the development of new and existing products from concept through to production. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone passionate about design, engineering, and delivering high-quality furniture solutions. Responsibilities, but are not limited to Interpret and manage new product briefs from concept to production, including all engineering and technical developments. Create concept visuals and prototypes to communicate design intent. Develop CAD models, assemblies, and technical drawings, converting concepts into fully documented product data. Complete and log CNC programming accurately within business systems. Collaborate with the purchasing team to source factored products from new and existing suppliers Work closely with the marketing team to ensure products are represented and communicated effectively Ensure all relevant industry and business standards are met throughout the design process Maintain and manage product-related data within the EFACS ERP system Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders Support production teams by ensuring CNC programs are correct and up to date Analyse market-driven trends in both form and function to inform product innovationExperiences required Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software (e.g. Inventor, Solid Edge, Creo, NX, CATIA, Onshape, Fusion 360) Experience with CNC programming, ideally using SWOOD or similar CAM tools (e.g. Mastercam, VCarve, Woodwork, SolidCAM) Strong understanding of DFM principles for furniture/joinery products HND qualification or equivalent industry experience Excellent time management and organisational skills Strong communication skills and ability to work independentlyPackage 37.5 Hours P/W | Monday to Friday | 7am to 3pm | 33 Days Holiday Inc.
