You’ll be paid a salary of £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Lead and advise site management on all QHSE matters, ensuring full compliance with statutory, company and customer requirements
* Proactively manage accident investigation, reporting and hazard elimination, driving preventative actions and continuous improvement
* Develop, implement and monitor safe systems of work, risk assessments and site audits across all warehouse operations
* Act as the main point of contact for external authorities, chair site H&S committee meetings and deliver clear reporting and performance insight
* Champion a positive safety culture across the site, including fire safety management, H&S training, inductions and Road to Zero compliance
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* Experience working in a Health & Safety leadership role within a warehouse and transport environment, with strong operational exposure
* NEBOSH general certificate is essential, with a strong working knowledge of H&S legislation and fire legislation
* Confident influencing stakeholders at all levels, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritise effectively
* A professional, people‑focused approach with the integrity to challenge, improve and lead by example
