About The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available to join our Events team at Vaillant Live, Derby. As one of our Event Managers, you will be responsible for planning and delivering events by liaising with tour reps and event organisers to ensure their event is delivered in a coordinated and safe manner. This is the perfect role for someone with experience of working on a mixed programme of events from a live entertainment venue, looking to grow their career with a global business and be part of a fantastic venue team.

Key Responsibilities
* Acting as Duty Manager for events – leading live delivery, managing front of house, security, stewards, hosts, medical teams, tech, and ensuring a safe and successful event.
* Leading on public safety during events – ensuring safety checks, logging occurrences, and upholding licensing conditions.
* Liaising with internal venue departments to share accurate information for smooth event delivery.
* Providing promoters and organisers with venue information and guiding them through planning to delivery with strong client service.
* Booking and coordinating contractors, staff, and supplies on time and in line with requirements.
* Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations and relevant training.
* Preparing events within the Venue (music shows, comedy, theatre, conferences, exhibitions, dinners, meetings, parties).
* Tracking, recharging, and approving event costs.
Skills And Experience
* Experience in an events-based environment, ideally in a multi-purpose space.
* Excellent organisation and planning, with ability to work under pressure.
* Strong people management skills for leading casual staff and contractors.
* Awareness of Health and Safety issues in venue/event management.
* Experience planning and operating multiple event types (music, comedy, theatre, corporate, etc.).
* Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
