Salary: £35,000pa
Location - We work across England, with offices currently in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and Southport. We offer hybrid and flexible working practices, balancing working from home with time collaborating in our modern offices.
Hours - 35 hrs per week (Hybrid – 2 days in the office a week, negotiable if needed).

Are you an experienced nurse looking to apply your clinical expertise in a dynamic and rewarding legal setting? Medical Law Services is seeking a dedicated Nurse Analyst to join our specialist team.
Purpose of Role
To provide an assessment on the merits of a potential case based on the initial information provided, advising on which medical records and additional documents are required to help determine the case prospects. To complete a detailed review of the records, pagination and chronology and provide an opinion on the merits of the case if requested as part of the product.

Main Responsibilities
* Reviewing medical records and any other documentation relevant to the case
* Sorting and categorisation of medical records
* Preparation of Opinion of Merit (OOM) and chronology to assist the legal team with investigations and assessment of prospects, including knowledge of breach of duty and causation
* Preparing light, selective, date-ranged, full and updated paginations in paperless format, using IT tools, including evolving AI tools
* Undertaking necessary research to understand the medico-legal elements of the case and relevant professional guidelines
* Good understanding of GDPR to identify issues within medical records
* Experience-led progression towards competing Risk Assessment 1s
Essential Skills And Experience
* Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in NHS practice / clinical setting as a registered nurse
* Basic understanding of medical records
* Ability to prepare work to a high level of accuracy
* Ability to learn and adapt to new working environments
* Analytical skills
* Excellent communication skills with positivity, attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to work within a team both remotely and in person
* Highly motivated, organised, and proactive
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards
* Working knowledge of audits and interpreting findings to improve/maintain practice
Desirable Qualifications, Skills And Experience
* Familiarity with Microsoft and other software tools (e.g., Adobe)
